Selecting the right pump to do the job

The common one is how to choose domestic house pressure pump. Water pump duty is express in term of litre per minute at meter head.
Before
selecting the pump, you need to answer the following questions
- Do I need a manual or
automatic pump?? Manual Household Pumps are an economical
way to water the garden or transfer water. Manual pump you need to turn on
and off at the wall plug when you require water. Automatic Household Pumps turn on and off
when a tap is opened or closed. It also have the benefit of an electronic
pressure control / run dry switch which also shuts the pump off when the
tank run out of water, protecting water pump from damage.
- Where is the water coming
from? (water tank?? Is the tank outlet setup at
the same level or above the pump’s inlet?) Distance from the tank
to the house in meters?
- Distance from the tank
outlet to the pump inlet in meters? How many level is your house?
- How many bathrooms?
- How many toilets? How many
garden hose outlets?How many washing washing machine? How many people live
in a house?
In
general case, a single level home with 1 bathroom, 1 toilet, washing machine
and total 4 people include children, a pump have 35 L/min @ 150 kPa is
sufficient.
